Donna O'Dell Hoke started in the imprinted products business in 1988 at the age of 21, following graduation from Penn State University. She opened Unique Impressions in downtown Newark, Delaware, to serve the Greek community at University of Delaware and the larger Philadelphia region. Over the decades, the business developed into a full-service imprinted products company serving a vast and interesting array of clients from University of Delaware (internal channel), to hospitals, schools and contractors. In 2020, Unique Impressions was acquired by Marked Promotions of Bowie, Maryland, a long-standing custom screen print, embroidery and promotional products business, serving a similar client base, including University of Maryland. With the merger, the company chose to pull away from the Greek market and close the retail/showroom to focus on university and corporate clientele exclusively.
